Nowadays, the concept of classism is widely spread. The public debate is taking place, not only in left-wing circles, but also in mainstream media. Frequently, there is a lot of criticism about the concept, although there is often no clarity about the meaning of classism and anti-classism.
That’s why we invited two speakers who are active in the “Verein zum Abbau von Bildungsbarrieren e.V.”, the student working class magazine “the Dishwasher” and at the fikuS in Münster: Minoas Andriotis and Richard Dietrich.
They will introduce us to the topic by showing how classism arises and how people have organized themselves against it. Here they combine the theoretical theories with examples from real life and the media.
