Our festival Team 2019

On our Klangkost festival

Our team 2018

Who are the people behind the FCLR and how is it done?

Here you will get to how we manage our wonderful weeks of anti-racism!

The organisation team consists of around 10-20 people (fluctuating) who plan the basic events, have the overview and connect to other groups.
Most of us are students but some are workers at university or in town, activists, free learners or some just motivated :)

Where we are from

About the origin of the festival in Ulm

The festival originates, as one could deduce from the name, from France. The concept of the festival spread soon around German universities. So today, numerous festivals are organized in whole Germany under the patronage of the fzs, a german student organization. Often, the organizational teams agree on a joint theme for the festival season, but the individual teams work completely autonomous. In Ulm, a group around the young socialist university group (juso HSG) intiated the festival in 2016. Since then, the festival was organized every year by a growing team.

Here you find a list of the themes of our past festivals:

2016: Antiziganism
2017: Identities
2018: Racism at universities
2019: Resistance
2020: Solidarity now!
2021: (In)Visible
2022: (Post)Colonialism

Finances

Where we "find" money for our festival

The FCLR is mainly supported by the StuVe, the students representation at Uni Ulm.
Apart from that we get support from "Ulm, internationale Stadt". Further, we were were able to win price money for our activities.
A lot of equipment has been lent to us and events have partly been sponsored by other groups.
For more details we refer to the single events.

We are super-glad for everyone that supported us in the past or will support us in the future :)
