Empowerment-Workshop for people with experiences of racism
📅 04.07.21 ⌚ 10 am - 2 pm 📌 Online 💬 German

Are racist remarks by others and exclusionary experiences part of your everyday life? Are your competences not always in the foreground because of your name or religious affiliation? Then you belong to those who are affected by racist power and domination relations. Racism is a problem that affects society as a whole and influences the attitudes, thinking and language of all people. This workshop enables you to deal with these social power relations in a "safe space". Exercises in mindfulness, exchange of experiences and the development of strategies for dealing with experiences of racism are combined to form a holistic concept. In this way, you learn to perceive and name racism, to demand respect and to clearly reject racist discrimination of any kind. In this way, you can experience the power of empowerment in the group through body and reflection exercises.

The event is aimed exclusively at people with experiences of racism.

Speaker: Hatice Avci, social work M.A., systemic counsellor, trainer for empowerment & critical stance towards racism.
